According to the book "Building Blocks of Spokane" by Bob Hyslep. The Standard Print Co. started in Spokane in 1909 at 823 Railroad Ave. under the ownership of S.W. Miller. In 1911 the business relocated to the first floor of the Hyde Building.

Eugene DeSmeth, a Belgian civil engineer, acquired the business from Miller sometime around 1919 and eventually brought his sons John and Bob into the business. In 1946 a move was made to the second floor of the Hyde Building.

In 1960 John DeSmeth was the owner of the company and he relocated the business to 245 West Riverside Ave. in the City Ramp Parking Complex. This is where the current owner, Kathy DeSmeth first learned the Blue Printing Business. Kathy and her husband Steve Lundberg continued to expand the business in scope and employees, resulting in a move to their present location at 256 West Riverside Ave. in 1989.

This third generation business has always prided themselves for their ability to always meet or exceed their customer’s goals and deliver a quality product with the commitment to excellent service. In 2001 their daughter Krista joined the business making it possible, in the future to continue the legacy started over 90 years ago.
