Schweitzer Manufacturing Division of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a creative, teamwork-oriented individual with an aptitude for understanding technical concepts for our Marketing Manager Position. Marketing Manager
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and improve the division brand and messages.
- Understand the divisions market segments and use this understanding to strengthen messages and channels.
- Develop and execute a marketing plan for new products.
- Create and manage advertisements and a yearly advertising plan.
- Revise the division catalog on a yearly basis to include new products, applications, and corrections.
- Identify the best trade shows and conferences for the division. Provide relevant marketing collateral, product, displays, support and messaging.
- Communication to the sales force of new and updated products, division news, changes in the marketplace, etc.
- Create, update and manage product installation instructions.
- Work with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure that product marking and aesthetics are consistent and in keeping with larger marketing objectives.
- Support Customer Service and Field Application Engineering as necessary.
- Create and/or deliver presentations to customers and sales groups.
- Work with SEL Marketing groups to leverage corporate campaigns and to reinforce the message that SEL provides a full distribution system solution to the market.
- Manage and update the Contact List and leverage it as appropriate for direct mail, event invitations, etc.
- Identify, measure and improve processes
- BA or BS
- 3 to 5 years of business-to-business technical product marketing
- Proven record of successful collaboration with engineers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to accurately research topics and process information
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience and skill with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel
- Technical experience or education
- Foreign language skills
- MBA
- Sales Experience
- Experience with InDesign, Quark or other layout program
