Our Billings, MT office is looking for a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Top 10 nationally ranked Transmission and Distribution team of engineering professionals. The main duty of the position is to perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures. You will make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures while functioning as a technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects but project management is not sole focus of position. May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians.

• 5+ years of experience in transmission line design is required.

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or Engineer In Training (EIT) and active commitment to obtain P.E. License required.

• Specific design experience including: PLSCADD, structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, optimization, specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents required for power transmission line projects through 500kV.

• Overhead power transmission is the focus of this position although any underground transmission experience would be helpful.
