The primary responsibilities of the Electrical Designer III include creating detailed electrical designs for facilities - more specifically lighting systems, power systems, communications, security and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Will be involved in performing basic system calculations, drawing production, some master specification editing, and assistance in construction cost estimating. Will perform assignments utilizing standard engineering techniques and procedures under the supervision of a licensed professional. May direct the efforts of less experienced CAD Technicians. Fully experienced, competent design technician.



Keyword(s):

8+ years experience preferred in designing electrical lighting, power and systems for building, power, or hydropower projects preferred.

Experienced with construction drawing development and construction documents; experience designing electrical layouts and wiring diagrams; developing Bills of Material; experience with industrial and/or utility projects, or similar; experience performing electrical calculations.

Microstation or AutoCAD; experience with both Microstation & AutoCAD is a plus; Microsoft Office.

Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred.
