The primary duties of the Sr. Electrical Engineer will include working with a multidiscipline engineering group providing technical services to the renewable energy industry. Will participate in power plant feasibility studies and due diligence reviews, existing facility condition assessment, design of electrical control and plant monitoring equipment, supervision of electrical equipment installation, power system design and studies, protective relay applications and settings, preparation of electrical equipment drawings and specifications and troubleshooting, repairs, and tests.



Operational support of power generating stations.



Design of power generation, instrumentation and control systems for power production facilities.



Generator specifications and testing for new installations as well as upgrade of existing equipment.



Protective relaying associated with generation stations,



Analyses and modeling of auxiliary power systems (i.e., short circuit and load flow calculations).



Design and installation of electrical system component upgrades for new or existing generating stations or industrial facilities.



Keyword(s):

Senior Electrical Engineer, engineering, power systems, AutoCAD, PE, 10+ years work experience, preferably in hydropower engineering, is required. Previous work experience in an engineering consulting firm is preferred.



BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.



Professional registration as a PE in any US State or Canada.



Strong written and verbal communication skills.



Proficiency with PC applications including MS Office Suite.



Demonstrated ability to execute work with minimal supervision and direction.



Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments successfully.



Field work and overnight travel will be required.
