Inventory/Warehouse Associate

Holiday Bright Lights (HBL) has been supplying holiday lighting products for over a decade.  As our company evolves each year, we still have our core beliefs of providing quality holiday lighting products – while we continue to innovate products for the future.  

HBL is looking for an Inventory/Warehouse Associate who will be responsible for maintaining warehouse inventory and receiving and unloading incoming orders to our warehouse.  

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming orders.  Complete inspection of products to ensure accuracy, quality and proper documentation.

  • Scan incoming/outgoing inventory from warehouse.

  • Pull outgoing orders and prepare for shipment in accordance with safety and inventory scanning procedures.

  • Operates necessary equipment such as pallet jacks, order picker, forklift and pallet wrapping machines.

  • Determine the timely, cost effective movement of goods to and from the company’s facilities to partnered vendors and customers.

  • Inventory control procedures, such as cycle counting, to ensure data accuracy

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • High school degree and previous inventory control experience in a warehouse preferred.

  • Experience with shipping software such as UPS WorldShip, Starship, and generating Bill of Landings for LTL Shipments a plus

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with the same desired accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening 

  • Computer skills a plus

  • Strong work ethic with an eagerness to learn 

  • Understanding of best practices for the warehouse a plus

  • Dedication to providing great customer service

Working Conditions

  • Warehouse environment

  • Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs and/or work in tight spaces at times

  • Work near moving mechanical parts and equipment

  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time 

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.* 

  • Standard hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm, M-F, periodic weekend or evening work as needed
