AECOM is seeking a Deputy Program Sr Manager in Los Angeles, CA.

The candidate in this role will:

  • Lead and manage programs that are medium to large in size and complexity or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program Manager.

  • Provide the organization with technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at a regional level.

  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.

  • Contributes to innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.

  • Work with Regional leadership and Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them.

  • Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomes.

  • Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise. Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.

  • Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.

  • Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.

  • Facilitates the translation of strategy into planning and technical delivery across the program

  • Ensures decision-making is cascaded effectively through the organization to enable outcomes

  • Enables effective implementation of the commercial strategy of the organization through the delivery and implementation of prime and sub-consultant contracts

  • Embeds success and performance across the program through driving clear objective setting and measurement for both individuals and teams

  • Ensures effective organization design and aligned accountabilities

  • Ensures succession planning is in place and poor performance is identified Manages and develops a team to provide quality, timely, and effective support to the organization

  • Assures program critical success factors reported are in fact achieved

  • Communicate through discussion, meetings or other forums with Client leadership team as appropriate to resolve issues and meet planned schedules

  • Technical PgM input to weekly team leadership meetings

  • Technical PgM input to program review meetings with the Client

  • Technical PgM input to steering committee meetings Satisfy stakeholder expectations by prioritizing completion of work to meet their needs

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 10 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience large complex projects

  • Ability to work with stakeholders on timelines and interests

  • Experience working on projects over $500 million
