Support Associate

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Program Staff with administrative and strategic duties and initiatives that support the delivery of services to families and program participants. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth, efficient, and effective operations across the Programs and Family Services department. The Support Associate will also serve as a collaborative resource across other departments to support the organization's mission and goals.

Principle Duties:

  • Provide coverage for receptionist daily for lunches and for vacations/sick days.
  • Assist with homeowners’ insurance follow up.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Programs and Family Services staff.
  • Assist with lien releases.
  • Data entry, document management, scheduling meetings, and main accurate records as needed.
  • Assist with title clearing and other department projects.
  • Lead dedications for all new homeowners.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, volunteers, staff, and external partners while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist with home selection.
  • Conduct outreach and assist with wills and estate planning.
  • Assist as need cross departmentally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervising Duties:

  • None.

Experience, Qualifications, and Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; associate degree or some college preferred.
  • 1-2 years community outreach program experience with non-profit or agency preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with a varied audience.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Goal-oriented, success driven, professional, outgoing, and self-starting.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with culturally diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in a second language is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, and lift to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to drive to off-site meetings.
