POSITION
Chid Care Teacher, Child Development Center, 40hrs/week, $1000 Sign On Bonus
Need available 7:15am-5:30pm varying days, *available Mondays to close*
                        

JOB OVERVIEW
The Child Care Teacher assumes primary care for an assigned group of children to include providing basic care of children, preparing for activities and recording and sharing childâ??s progress.  Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures. Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledgeable of appropriate development teaching methods and obtains educational materials required to implement the daily activity with assigned children.
  • Observes and records significant individual and group behavior.
  • Communicates the daily activities of children to parents on regular basis and participates in parent/teacher conferences.
  • Adapts to situations under stress and emergency situations and incorporates behavior modification techniques.
  • Attends staff meetings and development programs as required; participates in in-services and continuing education as required by state law.
  • Maintains confidentiality of records and work information
  • Maintain and ensure a safe environment for the department. Handles and operates all necessary equipment and performs required duties according to established safety standards to maintain compliance with regulations and prevent injury.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelorâ??s or Associateâ??s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred.
  • Prior experience providing child care or working in a child care environment desired.
  • Incumbent must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have valid Nebraska driverâ??s license and proof of good driving record.
  • CPR for Health Care Provider/CPR for Professional Rescuer and first aid required.
  • Must complete all in-service hours required by the State of NE; by November of the current year.
