This position is focused on growing sales and market share to an established and prospective customer base throughout an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with a mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of the sales process, building relationships, and closing. This position is based in our Omaha office but requires some overnight travel to visit customers and prospects or attend conferences and trade shows as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new opportunities with existing and prospective customers by promoting and selling our core stock products and manufacturing capabilities.
• Build relationships to create brand loyalty.
• Provide product training and sales presentations as needed.
• Investigate and find the cause of lost business or customer frustrations and work with internal resources to improve our processes, products, or services based on your findings.
• Create and implement a territory plan.
• Assists Customer Service as needed.
• Travel as needed.
Other Skills and Abilities
• Previous sales experience (preferred but not required)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Problem-solving and good communication skills
• Capability to multi-task
• Able to work as a team player and independently
• Experience with computers and software applications (MS Office applications experience is preferred)
• A valid driver’s license
