Nuclear Medicine Trainee duties:
Perform quality diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under supervision to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment. Utilize departmental resources (e.g., personnel, supplies, and capital equipment) to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic and therapeutic exams in the nuclear medicine section at the lowest possible risk and cost to the patient. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing age-specific needs of the patients served.
Required Qualifications:
Accepted to a nuclear medicine program required.
Ability to work with radioactive material in a safe manner required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire or transfer date required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to manage and interact with patients and families of all age groups preferred.
Be able to manage patients in a hospital situation preferred.
Proficient knowledge of multi-dimensional medical imaging systems, patient transportation devices, and Radiology Information System preferred.
