Imaging Specialist

Physicians Mutual is hiring for a full time Imaging Specialist in our Records Department. The selected candidate will receive, analyze, sort and prep customer correspondence for imaging in accordance with departmental procedures and established schedules. Analyzes each work item and identifies function and type of document to determine correct index to apply which then determines correct workflow for the item to follow. Standard claims are inputted through AI technology to be imaged. Some standard claims will come back through OCR technology and require a review of rejected forms and correction of information and then submits the electronic claim for processing. Prepares and images marketing promotional packages for the Direct Marketing Group.

Job Qualifications:

• High school education or its equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with a PC in a Windows environment is required.
• Experience using imaging technology is highly preferred.
• High level of typing proficiency with high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in work.
• Ability to operate scanner, PC, copy and fax equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Ability to detect errors and troubleshoot minor equipment problems.
• Sound knowledge and good, general understanding of Company products and procedures.
• Good reading skills to review and identify information contained in incoming correspondence.
• High level of proficiency in using the 10-key portion of the computer.
• Excellent concentration skills and abilities to retain changing product information and procedural changes.
• Ability to make determinations based on guidelines given for specific jobs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
