Position Summary
This position provides comprehensive administrative support for the Great Plains IDeA-CTR, requiring excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to exercise independent judgment. Serving as a vital link between the GP IDeA-CTR and state-wide institutional partners, governmental agencies, community based organizations, and other partners, this position is responsible for administrative assistance in the planning, organizing, administering, and monitoring of the day-to-day administrative operational activities/office services, financial assistance and project management requirements of the program.
This position demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, writing skills, and problem- solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and underlying departmental management structure and of the larger institution in organizing and independently prioritizing work. This position establishes procedures and systems and ensures the orderly and timely administrative operational flow through the office.

3. Communication (Oral and written): This person will communicates effectively with all levels of departmental faculty, staff, and patients, and other organizational/ company representatives whether initiated in person, telephone or by other electronic means including e-mail. Communicates clearly and informatively. This person must have the ability to work independently keeping necessary persons well informed while maintaining confidential information.

4. Dependability/Initiative: This person must have the ability to work independently while responding to management direction. This person takes responsibility for own actions and keeps commitments.

5. Customer Service: This person responds promptly to customer needs. This person responds to requests for service and assistance.

6. Project Management: This person will develop, coordinate, and communicate project plans following established time frames and budgets.

7. Team work: This person will balance team and individual responsibilities and contribute to building a positive team spirit. This person will coordinate work with other office staff and may provide work direction for project completion to other office staff.

This person will contribute to departmental program development and operational processes through decision making in conjunction with the chair of the Department and the Department Administrator.
