Locum Geriatrics NP opening in Pennsylvania Located in Coatesville, PA44 miles to downtown Philadelphia, PADates: Start ASAP (6-month assignment with possible extension)Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate)Position Details:Provide primary medical coverage in collaboration with physiciansConduct initial, semi-annual, and annual assessments of participantsDevelop and implement care plans for patients as neededParticipate in discharge planning for acute and long-term placementsEvaluate and treat patients during acute illnessPrescribe medications, therapies, and treatments prudentlyRefer patients to medical specialists as neededConduct home and nursing home visits as necessaryAssist with policy development, quality assurance, and staff trainingSupport intake of new participants and daily program operationsRequirements:Master s degree in NursingMinimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in long-term careActive PA LicenseBLS, DEA, CDS certificationBoard Certification by ANCC or AANPPrescriptive authority requiredExperience working with the elderly or frail population preferredValid driver s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
