DISCIPLINE NURSE PRACTITIONER SPECIALTY PEDIATRICS
SPECIFIC DETAILS • Support staff: MA AND REGISTRATION CLERKS, REFERRAL STAFF • Coverage Type: Pediatric clinics, to see infants to 21 years of age at times. School physicals, knowledge of vaccination schedule. Will have to assist with CBI physicals and VFC program regulations.
Many new born a couple days after birth to check for Jaundice, physical and immunizations, referrals out to specialties. Work Details: • Facility Type: Rural Health Clinic • Practice Setting: Inpatient or Outpatient Outpatient • EMR/Charting Software: EPIC • Vaccines Mandatory?: NA • Avg. Daily Census: the clinic as a whole averages 150-200 patients a day. Regular census for the pediatric providers is 30-35 patients a day. • Beds: we are a 12 room facility pediatrics gets 2-3 rooms a day depending on census • Patient Age Group: 0-21 • Procedures: cry0-freeze
