Description

We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer II in our Lubbock, TX office. Job Type: Full-time, non-supervisory

On-call: Required

Travel: Occasional

Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot network and server problems.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Network Specialist/Engineer I.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Lead meetings with NOC customers.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained on tickets.
  • Ensure timely updates and responses to tickets.
  • Assist in developing and training on NOC processes and procedures.
  • Mentor less experienced team members.
  • Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
Qualifications
  • In depth knowledge of Ethernet switching, IP routing, VoIP, and networking principles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operating, troubleshooting, or designing Internet Service Provider Networks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Management Information systems, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent required. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Industry relevant certifications (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, Calix, MEF, etc).
  • Strong understanding of multiple ISP broadband and core technologies (Adtran, Calix, Cambium, Juniper, Cisco, Ciena, Arista, etc).
  • Proven ability to lead meetings with customers.
